Synopsis:
It's opening night at London's Savoy Theatre, December 1890. The famous theatrical duo, Arthur Sullivan and W.S. Gilbert reunite after nine months to stage their first revue, a performance for the Queen of England. With a few short hours left to prepare, Sullivan's secret love affair with the young star of the show and the recent addition of the hapless Duke of Edinburgh to the cast threaten to reduce the rehearsals to chaos. Can the two old friends reconcile their differences in time to save the performance? The adventures of this colorful cast of characters is accompanied by songs from Gilbert and Sullivan's most famous musicals, The Mikado, Pirates of Penzance, H.M.S. Pinafore, and more. Revel in the magic of these timeless works with Ken Ludwig's tribute to theatre's best-loved (and most tempestuous) duo.
